For this brief, I focused heavily on the “non-stop action” descriptor and created a dynamic follow through of the ball’s kinetic exchange among competitors.

Process

Create six design frames to promote the championship cup live event this fall. This case study highlights a School of Motion assignment with a speculative client and brief for educational purposes.

Goal

The annual competition held in sunny Palm Coast, Florida exhibiting one of the most exciting football the world has to offer, The Palm Coast Championship Cup was fast approaching. Three days packed full of non-stop action feature clubs from Europe, Australia, Mexico, South America, China, and North America. The participating clubs are sorted into “Eastern” and “Western” conference geographies. The victors in each conference will then move on to the final and compete at winning The Palm Coast Championship Cup.

Need

The Palm Coast Championship Cup marketing group requested visual proposals to promote the upcoming fall championship matches. Use and show the provided player photos, logo crest and field pictogram working together to create a dynamic promotion video for their event.

About

Interchanging letter scale revealing “Palm Coast” | Positive and negative shapes rotate within an overhead cameral roll.

Final frame logo resolve | Overhead angle with the linear accents | Field lines sliding opposite one another

Arc to field view | Crash zoom in as vignette focuses in to player’s point of impact.

Crash zoom out emphasizing the speed and skill | Vignette shattered | Defender enters opposite the frame.

 Reveal ball and “East vs West” type | Whip pan to block | Emphasizes the balanced challenge between each coast. This won’t be a sweep!

Barrel roll following the ball | Slowed tension point with defender | Logo / field elements begin framing inward.
